WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

Respond to calls for transit police services on any CapMetro owned and/or controlled property to include all Park and Ride facilities, bus, or rail property and locations.?
Provide transit police services related to criminal and non-criminal matters on bus/train routes, at bus stop/shelters, on board buses and Paratransit vans.?
Investigate crimes, accidents, and incidents; arrests/detains suspects and violators; settle disputes; direct traffic; assist the public; issue CapMetro citations; perform other patrol activities.?
Interface with local police departments located within CapMetro’s service area. Conduct preliminary investigations.?

Requirements

WHO YOU ARE:
Experienced police officer with an active TCOLE certified Police license eager to apply your skills to the dynamic and challenging world of transit policing.
Skilled communicator and problem solver with the ability to navigate complex situations with composure and make sound decisions under pressure.
A team player who thrives in a collaborative environment and is passionate about making a positive impact on your community.
