Tiffany C. Kennedy has been a sworn member of the Chicago Police Department for three years. In addition to working in several districts, she was detailed to the Office of the Superintendent – Special Activities Section as a Civil Rights/Hate Crimes Investigator and School Visitation Officer. Tiffany is trained in the Officer Friendly Program and Gang Resistance Education And Training (G.R.E.A.T.). She is also a certified instructor and specially trained in Crisis Intervention Team (CIT). Tiffany is a Peer Support member and has responded to police suicides and several other critical incidents involving police officers. She currently serves as a Police Officer in the Bureau of Patrol in the 010 District.
Prior to a career in law enforcement, Tiffany worked in the private sector in accounting and finance for over 15 years. Her positions included: Plant Controller, North America for SCHOTT Gemtron (2016 -2019); Divisional Accounting Manager, North America for Illinois Tools Works (2014 – 2016); Plant Controller, Pactiv, LLC (2009-2014); and Internal Auditor, Deere & Company (2005 – 2008). Tiffany also held internships and worked closely with the top accounting firms of KMPG and Deloitte & Touche.
Tiffany is a devoted mother who has mentored many youths over the past decades, both individually and within several structured programs. She promotes the power of knowledge and independence through education, having earned both her MBA and BS degrees in Accounting with minor in psychology, at Drake University. Tiffany believes in service to all mankind, being a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated since 2012. Tiffany currently serves as the Financial Secretary for the National Association of Black Law Enforcement Officers (NABLEO) and is a member of the National Association of Black Accountants (NABA).
